Seniors scroll pages more and read more. When things like error messages, security alerts, purchasing terms, and disclaimers and restrictions appear, seniors sometimes actually read them, unlike most users in other studies. Some seniors even read license agreements, at least in part.
When looking at a list of products, seniors in our study often scrolled through pages
to see all the items available before making a selection. Also,
when looking at a list of search results, several seniors scrolled the list and looked at
many results, not just the first few. They seem to be more thorough than their
younger counterparts. |
