Another part of the experiment carried out to test the applicability of the Hick’s law, showed that the number of targets had no observed significant effect on selection time or decision time quite in violation of the Hick’s law. However, the significant effect on selection time was observed with targets’ size and subject’s age. Designers should keep the control size in mind when designing for the elderly since users’ efficiency is more influenced by the size than number of targets. |
