Theme was originally developed for our site with certain, very limited functionality that we needed in mind.
Before contributing, we tried to make it as much customizable as possible.

Austere theme by Duvien. A standards compliant Strict xHTML and CSS theme that uses the colour module so theme colour can be changed on the fly.

This theme is for those design artists who want to simply focus on graphic elements, colours, and styling. Very easy to customize without learning any new stuff. Designer don't even need to be understand @media query and various breakpoints for RESPONSIVE, MOBILE design.

Theme developer can use sub-theme (child theme) Instead of editing "Beginning" theme. I create a sample sub-theme Shiv for this purpose at here -https://www.drupal.org/project/shiv

About Nitobe

Nitobe is a fixed-width, content-first theme based on the 960 Grid System. It supports two or three column layouts in several configurations and a header image area that can be set to a fixed image or selected at random. In addition to the column region, a four region area spanning the width of the layout is provided between the content and footer regions.

The theme includes a default favicon, a custom maintenance page, a default user icon, and a variety of sample header images (940 x 118 pixels).

Tapestry is fast-loading and compatible with most modern browsers including FireFox, Internet Explorer, Safari, and Opera. Most of Tapestry's advanced features will work even in older browsers like IE6.

We've validated many Tapestry pages with the Accessibility Valet, and we believe that Tapestry generates markup that is generally in compliance with Section 508 web accessibility guidelines.

Tapestry is designed to take particular advantage of two Drupal contributed modules. Using the Theme Settings API Module(only Drupal5), Tapestry provides a simple interface for managing it's many features and options. And Tapestry provides a large collection of custom block themes for use with the Block Theme module.

You can also download Tapestry from the Tapestry Project Page on Drupal.org but with out icons. However, drupal.org rules prevent us from including the Tapestry icons (which are released under Creative Commons) in this distribution.
