Drupal Integration with Acquia DAM

Acquia DAM is a cloud-based digital asset management solution that seamlessly integrates with the Acquia digital experience platform. Acquia DAM enables marketing teams to reduce production costs while increasing efficiencies and improving brand consistency with the use of rich media assets. Those assets can then be delivered downstream to the Acquia Platform for creating dynamic, personalized experiences.

This module provides the strong integration with Acquia DAM.

When do I need this?

Every Acquia DAM customer delivering digital experiences through Drupal should use this integration.

How does it work?

The integration allows Drupal content authors to browse the Acquia DAM repository and search by keyword to find the right assets to use. Assets can be added through the WYSIWYG editor or a field. Selected assets are copied to Drupal and stored as Media Entity references, and image styles are rendered.

Assets are kept in sync between Drupal and Acquia DAM through a cron job. Updates to the assets are automatically reflected in Drupal, and should an asset be expired in Acquia DAM, the asset will no longer be available for use within Drupal.

The integration assumes that Acquia DAM is the single source of the truth for assets.
