Drupal theme purpose is to make as many screen FREESPACE as possible.
Modern themes consume too much FREESPACE. Many blank spaces, a huge top banner ... make page unreadable in low resolution like 1024x768.
Generally I use it for big finance tables in ubercraft, so decided release. There are still many layout issues (i know) , will be constantly improved.
