Sands is an attempt to create an all-purpose, drop-in replacement, "generic" theme like Bluemarine. It has design attributes taken from Drupal.org's proprietary Bluebeach theme and friendselectric.

Sands_CSS uses an elastic, source-ordered, 3-column CSS layout, which unfortunately has problems on browsers with impaired CSS implementations (e.g. Microsoft Internet Explorer 6). It's focus on these browsers is to remain readable, though not necessarily functional. You may want to look at Sands, which uses tables for layout if browser compatibility is a top priority.

The CivicSpace theme is designed to help community organizers quickly develop a new style and layout for their site. The CivicSpace theme has a pre-built selection of layouts, and styles so you can quickly create your custom theme.

The CivicSpace theme is currently being ported to Drupal 6.x. It is not yet stable for use on production sites.

Installation

(2011-07-25) This theme is now revamp as Zen subtheme (http://drupal.org/project/zen). You will need to install it with this theme as below:

flatforum is not a full theme. It's a template that changes the look of forum so it resembles phpBB/vBulletin style flat forums. flatforum.module is needed for post count and join date information.

A new module called Advanced Forum offers the same functionality of Flatforum and more. It is also easier to install. An ongoing discussion on the future of flatforum is available here.
