Drupal ajaxIM

AjaxIM integration for Drupal. AjaxIM is an open-source, extensible, theme-able instant messaging framework that allows you to add a feature-rich IM client to your website.

Drupal 7

A new Drupal 7 version of the module is currently planned, and will be maintained by rwohleb. The goal is to use the stock version of AjaxIM rather than a fork, as well as supporting the node.js version of the IM stack.

Drupal 6

There are currently no plans to develop this for Drupal 6. Perhaps once the Drupal 7 version is stable, a backport might be considered.

Drupal 5

The Drupal 5 code is not stable nor actively maintained.
This is a fork of ajaxim chat to make it closer to drupal.

5.x-1.x-dev features:

• List of buddies is rendered as a block
• List of buddies is automatically fetched from buddylist module
• Module supports several predefined visibility options + custom away message
• Chatroom support
• Sound notifications

5.x-2.x-dev features:

• ajaxim_server.module was replaced by Ruby daemon which works as the ajaxim_server
• implemented list of chatrooms with opportunity to join any room from that list
• client configuration settings are available now
• fixed more than 20 bugs
• server supports more than 100 online users with low loading on server
• message logging

Same ajaxim server but in PHP is under development now.

NOTE: There are css issues at the moment and module needs testing. Use this module carefully with Drupal 5.x as it breakes css styles.
