This module is to provide an XMPP server for Drupal, including integration with, and authentication against, Drupal's own user account system.
What is XMPP?
XMPP is a protocol, perhaps more commonly known as 'Jabber', which provides a standardized way of communicating three types of information: Queries, Messages and Presence. While XMPP can be applied to a wide variety of uses, it is perhaps most commonly used as an instant messaging server.
