Admin Message provides an easy way to show short messages to users via the creation of Admin Message nodes which are displayed in a block. The messages can be individually closed by users (both logged in and anonymous via a cookie).

Connect allows you to easily create very flexible petitions and email or fax campaigns using CCK.
The connect module more generally lets you link 'parent' nodes to 'participant' nodes, and allows the definition of actions to be taken when participant nodes are created, including sending emails to defined or looked-up targets. With the optional Connect CiviCRM module participant information can also be added directly to CiviCRM.

b) initiate a handshake.
Administrators are able create relationship types (friend, coworker, etc). Relationship types can be setup to be one-way or mutual. If a relationship type is one-way (subscriber) only the requester is shown as relating to the requestee. Relationship types can also be set as needing or not needing approval.
Administrators can give users the option to auto approve relationships on a per-relationship type basis.

clean up the default views, etc.
These modules currently are not ready for installation in a standard Drupal site, as
they were developed as a group and have other dependencies and requirements.
