The KB (Knowledge Base) module provides the basic content types and Veiws necessary to build a knowledge base. KB is built with the Group Module, which permits access control for KB content on a per-group basis.
Planned Use Cases
- Quickly add documentation, links, and downloads, and organize by group and category
- Have members-only content which requires an admin grant (example: onboarding new employees with department-specific content)
- Provide learning content as a means of onboarding or simple training.
- Create a foundation for an online learning platform by organizing learning content into classrooms, and granting access per student via Group module membership.
Modules
KnowledgeBase
Enables two KB group types (all can view + only members may view), KB content, and KB categories (node based). The module also provides a "KB Groups" block, and KBs will show as an EVA on the group's home page.
KnowledgeBase H5P (Todo)
Creates an H5P-enabled content type so that one can add H5P learning content to the knowledge base.
Roadmap
KnowledgeBase is more or less feature complete. The next step will be to decide how we will implement the H5P module - either we will extend the existing KB groups, *or* we will provide new group types.
Another question/pending to-do is the matter of adding comments to the KB group types, for the purpose of gathering user feedback.
