Overview

The BotScout module for Drupal is an anti-bot module that prevents bots from registration and submitting forms on your site.

Requirements

The BotScout module does not rely on any other modules. If you want to filter the site wide contact form then it must be installed but is not required for the module to function correctly since the contact form is only an optional filter. BotScout will still work on the registration process without the Contact module installed.

Summary

The Honeytrap module allows site owners and system administrators to monitor web crawlers that do not follow the rules set out in the robot.txt file or via the RobotsText module or similar method and as a result put an unnecessarily high load on servers.

This is especially important for large, very high traffic and/or high profile sites where the activity of these non-compliant crawlers can bring servers to their knees. If these crawlers are not blocked or slowed down quickly enough then these crawlers can result in servers being knocked completely offline.

BanHammer is a module for identifying spambots and blocking them from accessing your website. This module is still experimental.

Spammer Slapper is a system that pulls together several resources from different anti-spam projects to stop comments spamming on forums, blogs, and boards.
